death is something that is so hard to grasp and it is sad to understand how in a single moment everything changes but the world continues to spin and life goes on. my family's dog died this week and although i haven't lived at home since i was 18, zoe was still my dog. I still remember the day we got her, she was 6 weeks old and we got her after my dog Cody had died unexpectedly. She wasn't the nicest dog, her breath smelled pretty bad, she begged for food, she shedded like crazy, she hated most people, once she even bit me and i had to get stitches but she still was our dog and we loved her. In a time when our family is already in turmoil something so shocking and unexpected just hurts a little more. I know that it is just a dog and people are going through a lot worse but still makes me sad to think about her but i believe she is in a better place now, sitting in her chair looking at the squirrels outside! I just hope Allie and Rocco stay around for a long long time b/c it is almost impossible to think about my life without them!
on a brighter note...baby dash is getting so big, i weighed him today and he weighs 16 lbs!! he is starting to talk and walk.....ok not really...but sometimes it sounds like he is saying hi, so maybe just maybe he is going to be a genius! Seriously, i cannot believe how easy this baby is, even the daycare lady told me that she had never met such a happy and easy going baby, he doesn't cry unless Rocco jumps on him, he sleeps all night and loves to sleep in, he laughs and smiles and talks to his little toys.....we truely have been blessed, i keep waiting for him to change but i think he only gets happier....i am sure our next baby will be horrible and colicky so maybe we shouldn't press our luck!!
